The House of Carnival, headquarters of the Barranquilla Carnival organization, located in Barrio Abajo, recreates a festive space called “La Gozadera” to experience the traditional popular party. This is a dance that, like Carnival, brings together generations without discrimination of any kind, with music as its main attraction. It’s a space for enjoyment where the characteristics of being a joyful, festive, and “cambambero” Barranquillero are exalted.
MUSICAL EXPERIENCE
The "QUILLERO" sound system is a tribute to the city's musical culture, its creators and representatives, and the dances that are recognized in the history of Carnival. Programming of the best dance music: Antillean, African, vallenato, therapy, champeta, salsa.
SENSORY EXPERIENCE
The House of Carnival, headquarters of the Barranquilla Carnival organization, located in Barrio Abajo, recreates the festive space of La Gozadera to experience the traditional popular party that is identified with the booming music of the sound system, the decoration with colorful banners, and the handmade signs with striking colors.
GASTRONOMIC EXPERIENCE
The flavors of Carnival have their own name. Guests will enjoy typical snacks from the city and particularly from Barrio Abajo, where the best arepas, empanadas, carimañolas, and fried foods, among other delicacies, are prepared.
FOLKLORE SHOW
Guests can enjoy a musical revue where the different dance expressions of Carnival are presented in the framework of a show that recreates the Barranquilla Carnival. True Carnival makers participate in this show.
